I had a wonderful time at the Westin, especially with the villas that offered great value for money. The location, while a bit of a walk to the main areas, offered lovely landscaping and privacy. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the restaurant options primarily catered to American flavors and could use more local cuisine. Overall, the facilities were enjoyable, particularly the small private pool near the villas, making it perfect for a relaxing stay.

Rooms
7.0
I stayed in a studio villa that was well-equipped with a small but adequate kitchen, allowing me to prepare meals and enjoy them on the patio. It was a bit dated but perfectly acceptable for my needs.
Service
8.0
The service was friendly and accommodating, especially when I requested to check out a different room type before deciding. Although there were a few housekeeping hitches, the overall service was satisfactory.
Location
8.0
The Westin is set on a beautiful hillside just a short walk from the main pool and beach areas, surrounded by lush foliage. The walk was not too far, even though it felt a little steep at times.
Dining
6.0
Dining at the Westin was somewhat limited and leaned heavily towards American flavors, which was a letdown for someone looking for authentic island cuisine. However, I appreciated the recommendations from the concierge for off-site dining.
Facilities
9.0
The facilities were generally great, with clean pools available. I especially loved the small pool between the villas that provided a perfect spot to relax in the afternoons.

We had a fantastic stay at this resort! Our room was beautiful and clean, with a stunning renovated bathroom and a lovely view. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made our birthday celebration extra special. However, we did notice some inconsistency in service, and not everyone had the same positive experience, which raises some concerns about the overall service quality.

Rooms
9.0
Our room was lovely, well-decorated, and featured a newly renovated bathroom with a heavenly shower. The bed was extremely comfortable, making for restful nights.
Service
7.0
The service was excellent in many areas, especially with special touches for our celebration. However, it varied in different situations, which was a bit disappointing.
Location
9.0
The resort is located in a beautiful area, providing easy access to beaches and the ferry service to St. Thomas, which is a great perk!
Dining
7.0
Dining options were good, but we felt there could have been more variety, especially for breakfast.
Facilities
9.0
The pool area was fantastic, with plenty of lounge chairs available, and the amenities like paddle boarding were a delightful bonus.

We had a wonderful time at the Westin St. John, enjoying the spacious and clean three-bedroom villa, especially during our extended stay. The beach leaves a bit to be desired due to algae, but the nearby snorkeling spots were outstanding. While the dining options at the hotel were convenient, exploring the local food scene was definitely worthwhile. Overall, it was a lovely vacation with a few minor drawbacks regarding the beach quality and dining variety.

Rooms
8.0
The villa we stayed in was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very clean. Even though we had a renovated villa to start, the subsequent older villa was still nice but had a more dated decor.
Service
9.0
Customer service was exemplary; the staff went out of their way to assist us and ensure we had everything we needed for a great experience.
Location
8.0
The hotel is situated beautifully by the bay, making it easy to explore St. John’s incredible beaches and attractions, although some beaches require a drive to reach.
Dining
6.0
While the dining options at the hotel were okay and convenient, I found the food mediocre and would recommend checking out local restaurants instead.
Facilities
8.0
The pool area was nice and well-maintained, providing a great spot to relax after a day of exploring.

6.4/10

The Westin St. John offers a stunning island experience with beautiful grounds and friendly staff. However, the ongoing construction can be quite disruptive, making it hard to relax by the pool. Overall, it’s a lovely resort but be prepared for some noise during your stay. The dining options could also use improvement, but the location is excellent for exploring the island.

Rooms
6.0
We stayed in an upgraded Oceanview King room, which was spacious but showed signs of wear with some maintenance issues like ants and a cracked sink.
Service
7.0
While the staff was generally friendly and helpful, we were disappointed with the lack of timely assistance for issues like the TV remote.
Location
8.0
The resort is located in a bay area, which gives easy access to local beaches, though the beach here isn’t the best due to seaweed.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience at the hotel left much to be desired, with our first meal being quite uninspired and overpriced.
Facilities
6.0
The pool area is nice but was marred by construction noises, making it hard to enjoy.

6.0/10

The property features beautiful views and spacious accommodations, but various amenities felt lacking and overall costs were quite high. The staff's level of service was inconsistent, which added to the frustration during our stay.

Rooms
7.0
Our villa was spacious with a stunning view, but it felt a bit dated. The kitchen had everything we needed, although the appliances were older and they lacked some basic supplies like dish soap.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were friendly and helpful, others seemed uninterested in providing good hospitality, which was disappointing. We also faced issues with the billing system that took time to resolve.
Location
6.0
The hotel is somewhat landlocked which makes getting around a bit tricky. Taxis can get pricey, and renting cars can be a hassle due to limited availability.
Dining
5.0
Dining on-site was extremely pricey with limited options, and the breakfast included felt insufficient for a family.
Facilities
8.0
The property had nice amenities, including a lovely pool area, but there were signs of ongoing construction that could detract from the experience.
